Introduction
This document fully outlines the warranty conditions for Pro Tune products. Please read carefully before installation.
The warranty is valid only upon presentation of the purchase invoice and provided that correct product use, within its intended purpose and according to the technical manual guidelines, is proven.
1. General Provisions
Menno S.A. holds the commercial rights to the Pro Tune brand and maintains a clear and standardized warranty policy to ensure consistent and traceable technical support. This policy applies exclusively to products manufactured and sold under the Pro Tune brand, in Brazil and abroad, as per the conditions described in this document.
The objective is to protect the customer against manufacturing defects, without room for interpretations that compromise product safety, technical integrity, and service traceability.
This term should be read in conjunction with the installation and operation guidelines described in the technical manuals available at protune.com.br, as the warranty assumes usage and application compatible with technical specifications.
2. Products and Warranty Periods
The periods below include legal warranty (Consumer Protection Code) and additional contractual warranty:

Breakdown of periods:
- Products with 1-year warranty: 90 days legal warranty + 9 months additional contractual warranty
- Pre-harness: 3 months legal warranty (Consumer Protection Code)
The period starts on the product delivery date, as per the invoice or equivalent document, including when purchased through an authorized reseller. Accessories purchased separately follow the 1-year period, unless otherwise expressly stated on the product.
3. What the Warranty Covers
Pro Tune warrants products against failures resulting from manufacturing defects and assembly process failures, when the product is used under normal conditions and according to technical guidelines and manuals.
If a covered defect is found, Pro Tune will perform the repair free of charge, which may involve replacing parts with new ones or equivalent reconditioned ones when technically appropriate. Replaced parts become the property of Menno S.A.
4. Essential Conditions for Warranty Validity
For the warranty to be valid, it is essential:
- Presentation of invoice (NF-e or equivalent)
- Intact product identification (serial number/legible labels)
- Use within the product's intended purpose, as per guidelines and manuals
- Seals preserved — tampering with the seal immediately voids the warranty
- Absence of unauthorized opening, modification, or intervention, including attempted repairs by third parties, rework, hardware alterations, modifications, and reprogramming outside authorized channels
Pre-harness: has no maintenance. Any sign of tampering, cutting, splicing, or physical damage to the harness implies immediate loss of warranty, regardless of the period.
5. What the Warranty Does Not Cover (Exclusions)
The warranty does not cover failures caused by factors external to the manufacturing process, including:
WATER AND MOISTURE DAMAGE: The warranty DOES NOT cover, under any circumstances, damage caused by contact with water, moisture infiltration, exposure to steam, humid environments, rain, vehicle washing, or any other form of contact with liquids. Such damages are internally identifiable and immediately cancel warranty coverage.
Physical and aesthetic damage: Scratches, cracks, breaks, connectors damaged by impact, contamination by dirt, corrosion/oxidation, and improper cleaning.
Damage from incorrect installation: Reverse polarity, short circuit, out-of-range power supply, deficient grounding, lack of short-circuit protection, incorrect sensor/actuator connections, and electrical adaptations without technical criteria.
Unauthorized interventions: Products with broken seals, equipment opened, unauthorized adjustments and reprogrammings, attempted repairs by third parties, removal or alteration of serial number/labels.
Incompatible components: Damage caused by peripherals, harnesses, adaptations, and accessories outside the standard recommended by Pro Tune.
Firmware updates and upgrades: Firmware updates, software upgrades, and new system versions are not part of the warranty. These services are separate items and subject to specific commercial conditions.
External events: Floods, sea air, fire, electrical discharges, excessive heat exposure, and unforeseen environments. Natural wear, cleaning, periodic adjustments, calibrations, and preventive maintenance do not characterize manufacturing defects.
Indirect costs: Menno S.A. is not responsible for removal/installation in the vehicle, travel, towing, workshop daily rates, loss of use, lost profits, damage to other components, downtime, and loss of data/configurations resulting from the repair procedure.
Note for automotive applications: failures caused by non-standard electrical networks, oscillations, poor grounding, and lack of protection are considered external causes and may invalidate coverage.
6. Maintenance and Parts Availability
In accordance with the Consumer Protection Code (Art. 32), Pro Tune guarantees the supply of spare parts and maintenance services for a maximum of 5 years from the product's manufacturing date. After this period, parts availability and technical assistance are not guaranteed.
Products manufactured more than 5 years ago will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, subject to parts availability and technical feasibility, without commitment to service.
Pre-harness has no maintenance — in case of a manufacturing defect within the warranty period, the item will be replaced. Outside the period or with signs of tampering, no repair is available.
7. How to Claim Warranty
To claim warranty, contact Pro Tune support through official channels. Provide the model, serial number, invoice, and an objective description of the problem. Support will guide you through the next steps, including shipping instructions when necessary.
Upon receiving the product, Pro Tune will register its entry, verify identification, and conduct a technical evaluation. If a covered defect is found, the repair will be performed free of charge. If the result indicates a non-covered situation, a quote will be provided for approval before any service.
It is recommended to back up parameters, maps, and configurations before shipping, as technical procedures may require restoration to factory settings.
8. Technical Service Rules
Fill out the form available at hs.protune.com.br/maintenance before shipping the product. The information provided is necessary to ensure the item's return and maintain communication throughout the process.
- Item analysis will occur within 7 to 15 business days after receipt, and may be extended depending on complexity.
- Prior quote only for simple cases with clear diagnoses (e.g., broken screen).
- The minimum maintenance fee for out-of-warranty service is 10% of the current equivalent item's value.
- The repaired item will be shipped only after approved payment.
- Harnesses have no maintenance, except for manufacturing defects within the warranty period.
- Items manufactured more than 5 years ago do not have guaranteed maintenance — they will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- Immediate replacement, loans, and consignment use only with prior commercial agreement.
- Items abandoned for more than 90 calendar days will be redirected at Pro Tune's discretion.
9. Default Condition for Additional Contractual Warranty
The additional contractual warranty will only be valid with timely payment of financial obligations related to the product's acquisition. In case of default, the additional warranty period will be automatically suspended from the unpaid due date, resuming its count after effective full settlement. The suspension period will be counted towards the contractual warranty period.
10. Final Provisions
This is a limited warranty, applicable under the terms described herein, without prejudice to rights provided by law in the country of acquisition. The warranty may be automatically canceled in the exclusion cases indicated in this policy.
This document may be updated by Menno S.A. at any time. The applicable version is the one in force on the product's acquisition date, unless otherwise provided by law.
