Which ECU to choose

Pro Tune offers three programmable ECUs. The right choice depends on how many cylinders the engine has, whether you need sequential injection, and how many sensors the project will use.

Three questions to decide

1. Does the engine have more than 6 cylinders? Go with the PR-8 EVO.
2. Need sequential injection, Flex Fuel, dual variable valve timing or 2 CAN networks? PR-4 EVO.
3. First project, 4 or 6 cylinders, and semi-sequential is enough? The PR-Sport EVO delivers boost control, traction control, launch control, power shift and anti-lag for the lowest investment.

What else you'll need

• Pre-wired harness for the chosen ECU (or your own wiring harness)
• Wideband lambda sensor (Bosch LSU 4.2, LSU 4.9 or NTK), sold separately
• Sensors required by the project: RPM, temperatures, pressures, throttle position
• A tuner to install and calibrate it, if you don't do it yourself
