What is Drive-By-Wire (ETC)?
The Pro Tune Drive-By-Wire (PN 800.2000.00) is an external electronic module responsible for controlling the electronic throttle (ETC — Electronic Throttle Control) in ECUs that do not have an integrated driver. It interfaces between the Pro Tune ECU and the throttle's stepper motor, executing the closed-loop position control algorithm.
What is it for?
It allows the use of electronic throttles from modern cars (VW, Audi, BMW, GM, etc.) with Pro Tune programmable injection systems that do not have native ETC drivers. It is mandatory for ECUs like the PR-Sport when the user wants electronic throttle control (cable-less).

Compatibility
The PR-4 EVO and PR-8 already have integrated ETC drivers (ETC+ and ETC- outputs). For the PR-Sport or other ECUs without native ETC, the Drive-By-Wire module is essential.
